How to merge 2 or more PDFs into one file
Try it now: Merge PDF — free, no upload.
Open Merge PDFMerging PDFs means joining several PDF files into one, so you can send, upload or print a single document. You don't need Adobe Acrobat or any app — a browser is enough.
The quick way (any device)
- Open the Merge PDF tool.
- Tap or click Select PDF files and choose all the PDFs you want to combine. On a computer, hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) to pick several at once.
- Drag the files into the order you want. The number on each card shows its position.
- Click Merge PDF, then Download PDF.
Your files are merged inside your browser, so they're never uploaded — useful for bank statements, ID documents and anything private.
On an Android phone
Open the merge page in Chrome, tap Select PDF files and pick files from your phone storage or Google Drive. To change the order, press and hold a file for a moment, then drag it. The merged PDF is saved in your Downloads folder.
On an iPhone or iPad
In Safari, tap Select PDF files, then Browse to choose from the Files app or iCloud Drive. After merging, tap Download PDF; you'll find the file in Files → Downloads.
On Windows or Mac
Drag your PDFs from File Explorer or Finder straight onto the page. On a Mac you can also merge PDFs in the built-in Preview app: open the first PDF, show the sidebar thumbnails, and drag other PDFs into it — but the browser method works the same on every computer.
Common problems
"This PDF is password-protected"
Protected PDFs can't be combined until the password is removed. Open the file with its password in your PDF reader and use Print → Save as PDF to make an unprotected copy, then merge that copy.
The merged file is too big
Run it through Compress PDF afterwards. If a form needs a specific size, use Compress PDF to 200 KB or set your own limit.
One page is sideways
Use the rotate button on that file before merging, or fix single pages afterwards with Rotate PDF.
Frequently asked questions
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
There is no fixed limit. Dozens of files are fine on a computer; on phones, very large batches depend on your phone's memory.
Does merging change the quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text and images look exactly like the originals.
